Job Title: Physician Internal Medicine
Job Summary:
Our medical practice is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician in Internal Medicine to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. As an Internal Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of complex medical conditions in adult patients. Your expertise will enable you to develop effective treatment plans, conduct thorough physical examinations, and oversee the ongoing care of your patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct thorough patient consultations, examinations, and medical histories.
2. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and EKGs.
3. Accurately diagnose and treat complex medical illnesses, including chronic diseases.
4. Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
5. Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies to alleviate symptoms and promote healing.
6. Oversee and coordinate the ongoing care and management of patients with chronic conditions.
7. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
8. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication, and healthy lifestyle practices.
9. Keep accurate and detailed medical records of all patient interactions, treatments, and progress.
10. Adhere to standard medical practices, protocols, and ethical guidelines.
11. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing medical education and training programs.
12. Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of Internal Medicine.
13. Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
15. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and specialists to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
2. Residency training in Internal Medicine from an accredited program.
3. Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
4. Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.
5. A strong commitment to patient care and safety.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to make informed and autonomous medical decisions.
8. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical software applications.
